Air Fryer Breaded Chicken Wings

Ingredients:
- 1 pound of chicken wings
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (adjust to your preferred level of spiciness)
- 2 eggs
- Cooking spray or a small amount of oil (for the air fryer basket)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and all the dry seasonings: salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs.
- Dip each chicken wing into the whisked eggs, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Roll the egg-coated chicken wing in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure it’s evenly coated. Press the breading onto the chicken to make it adhere.
- Place the breaded chicken wings on a plate or tray.
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a small amount of oil. This prevents the chicken wings from sticking and helps them become even crispier.
- Arrange the breaded chicken wings in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket. Be sure not to overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook them in batches.
- Air fry the wings at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Cooking times may vary depending on the size of your wings and the specific air fryer model, so keep an eye on them.
- The wings are done when they are golden brown and have an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
- Once the wings are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Serve the air fryer breaded chicken wings with your favorite dipping sauces, such as buffalo sauce, ranch, or blue cheese dressing.
