Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots

Ingredients:

  • 20 frozen tater tots
  • 10 slices of bacon (cut in half crosswise)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar (optional, for a sweet-savory twist)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika or chili powder (optional, for a little spice)
  • Toothpicks (soaked in water for 10 minutes to prevent burning)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wrap the Tater Tots: Take a half-slice of bacon and wrap it tightly around each frozen tater tot. Secure with a toothpick.
  3. Season (Optional):
    • For a sweet option, roll the wrapped tater tots in brown sugar.
    • For a spiced option, sprinkle them with smoked paprika or chili powder.
  4. Place in Air Fryer: Arrange the bacon-wrapped tater tots in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they don’t overlap for even cooking.
  5. Air Fry: Cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bacon is crispy and the tater tots are golden brown.
  6. Serve: Let them cool slightly, then remove the toothpicks before serving. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, ketchup, or spicy mayo.

Tips:

  • For extra crispiness, you can brush the bacon with a small amount of maple syrup or honey during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  • Adjust cook time based on the thickness of your bacon.
