Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breast

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks or cooking twine (to secure the bacon)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. While the air fryer is preheating, season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Make sure to coat both sides of the chicken evenly.
  3. Lay two slices of bacon on a clean surface, slightly overlapping them. Place a chicken breast on top of the bacon slices.
  4. Carefully wrap the bacon around the chicken breast, securing it with toothpicks or cooking twine. Repeat the process for the second chicken breast.
  5. Brush the outside of the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts with a little olive oil. This will help the bacon get crispy.
  6. Place the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts in the preheated air fryer basket. Make sure they are not touching to ensure even cooking.
  7. Cook the chicken in the air fryer for about 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts and the specific air fryer model you’re using. It’s essential to cook them until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the bacon is crispy.
  8. Once the chicken is cooked, carefully remove the toothpicks or twine.
  9. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This helps the juices redistribute for a juicier result.
