Air fryer baby back ribs

Ingredients:

  • 1 rack of baby back ribs
  • Dry rub or seasoning of your choice
  • Barbecue sauce (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ribs:
    • Start by removing the membrane from the back of the ribs. Use a butter knife or your fingers to loosen it at one end and then peel it off.
  2. Season the Ribs:
    • Rub your favorite dry rub or seasoning mix all over the ribs. Ensure that they are well coated on both sides. You can use store-bought rubs or create your own by mixing spices like paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Arrange in the Air Fryer:
    • Cut the rack of ribs into sections that will fit into your air fryer basket. It’s essential to not overcrowd the basket, as this can affect the cooking process. You might need to cook the ribs in batches if your air fryer is small.
  5. Air Fry the Ribs:
    • Place the ribs in the preheated air fryer basket and cook for 25-30 minutes. You’ll want to flip the ribs halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. The exact cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer’s size and model, so keep an eye on the ribs to prevent overcooking.
  6. Optional Sauce:
    • If you like your ribs saucy, you can brush them with your favorite barbecue sauce during the last few minutes of cooking. This allows the sauce to caramelize and create a nice glaze.
  7. Check for Doneness:
    • To check if the ribs are done, use a meat thermometer. The internal temperature of the ribs should reach 190-203°F (88-95°C), and the meat should be tender. If needed, you can extend the cooking time by a few minutes.
  8. Rest and Serve:
    • Once the ribs are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute. After resting, cut the ribs into individual servings and serve with your favorite sides…
