Air Fryer Apple Crumble

Ingredients:

For the Filling:

  • 3 medium apples (Granny Smith or your favorite variety), peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

For the Crumble Topping:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small cubes
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Apples:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Make the Crumble Topping:
    • In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
    • Add the butter cubes and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Assemble the Crumble:
    • Lightly grease a small, air fryer-safe baking dish.
    • Spread the apple mixture evenly in the dish.
    • Sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples.
  4. Cook in the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
    • Place the dish in the air fryer basket and cook for 15–20 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  5. Serve:
    • Let the crumble cool slightly before serving.
    • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
