  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ΒΎ tsp salt
  • ΒΎ cup unsweetened plant milk
  • 2 tbsp vegan butter, melted
  • Coarse salt, for topping

For the baking soda bath

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tbsp baking soda

  1. Preheat & prep
    Preheat oven to 425Β°F / 220Β°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Make the dough
    In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
    Stir in plant milk and melted vegan butter until a soft dough forms.
  3. Shape
    Divide dough into 4 pieces. Roll each into a rope and cut into bite-size pieces.
  4. Baking soda bath
    Bring water to a boil, add baking soda.
    Drop pretzel bites in for 30 seconds, then remove and drain.
  5. Bake
    Place on baking sheet, sprinkle with coarse salt.
    Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Finish
    Brush with a little extra melted vegan butter if you’re feeling indulgent 😌
