🥦 Air Fryer Cauliflower Steaks
Ingredients (serves 2–3)
- 1 large head cauliflower
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Optional: Parmesan cheese, lemon wedges, fresh herbs
Instructions
- Prep the cauliflower
- Remove outer leaves and trim stem, keeping the core intact.
- Slice cauliflower into ¾–1 inch thick steaks (you’ll get 2–3 good steaks).
- Save loose florets for another use.
- Season
- Brush both sides of each steak with olive oil.
- Sprinkle evenly with garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat air fryer
- Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Air fry
- Place steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 12–15 minutes, carefully flipping halfway.
- Steaks should be golden with crispy edges and fork-tender inside.
- Optional finishing touches
- Sprinkle Parmesan during the last 2 minutes.
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice or fresh herbs.
Serving Ideas
- Drizzle with garlic butter or tahini sauce
- Serve over quinoa, rice, or salad
- Pair with hummus or chimichurri
- Top with marinara and mozzarella for a “cauliflower parm” vibe
