Air Fryer Hamburger Patties

Ingredients (makes 2–4 patties)

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 is ideal)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Optional: smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, or steak seasoning

Instructions (Fresh Patties)

  1. Preheat air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Form patties
    • Divide beef into equal portions.
    • Gently shape into patties about ¾-inch thick.
    • Press a small dimple in the center (prevents puffing).
  3. Season both sides generously.
  4. Air fry
    • Place patties in the basket in a single layer.
    • Cook 7–9 minutes, flip halfway.
  5. Add cheese (optional)
    • Place cheese on patties during the last 1–2 minutes.
  6. Rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Cooking Times (Doneness Guide)

  • Medium: 7 minutes
  • Medium-well: 8 minutes
  • Well-done: 9–10 minutes

(Internal temp: 160°F / 71°C for food safety)


Frozen Patties

  • No thawing needed
  • Cook at 370°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway
  • Add cheese during last 2 minutes
