Ingredients

  • 1Β½ cups ground pork or ground beef (85–90% lean)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 oz cream cheese (full-fat or low-fat, softened)
  • 1 tsp baking powder (optional, helps fluffiness)
  • Β½ tsp salt
  • ΒΌ tsp garlic powder or onion powder (optional, for flavor)

Optional Toppings

  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (low-carb, optional)
  • Extra butter or ghee for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease.
  2. Mix Ingredients
    • In a large bowl, combine ground meat, eggs, cream cheese, baking powder, salt, and optional seasonings.
    • Mix well until smooth and uniform.
  3. Shape & Prep Loaf
    • Transfer mixture into the loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
    • Optional: sprinkle seeds or seasoning on top.
  4. Bake
    • 25–30 minutes until the loaf is firm and lightly golden on top.
    • Check doneness with a toothpick (it should come out mostly clean).
  5. Cool & Slice
    • Let the loaf cool 5–10 minutes before slicing.
    • Use a sharp serrated knife to prevent squishing.
  6. Serve
    • Perfect for sandwiches, toast, or simply with butter.
    • Reheat slices in a skillet or toaster oven for extra crispness.
