Ingredients
- 1½ cups ground pork or ground beef (85–90% lean)
- 4 large eggs
- 4 oz cream cheese (full-fat or low-fat, softened)
- 1 tsp baking powder (optional, helps fluffiness)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp garlic powder or onion powder (optional, for flavor)
Optional Toppings
- Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (low-carb, optional)
- Extra butter or ghee for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat Oven
- 350°F (175°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease.
- Mix Ingredients
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, eggs, cream cheese, baking powder, salt, and optional seasonings.
- Mix well until smooth and uniform.
- Shape & Prep Loaf
- Transfer mixture into the loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- Optional: sprinkle seeds or seasoning on top.
- Bake
- 25–30 minutes until the loaf is firm and lightly golden on top.
- Check doneness with a toothpick (it should come out mostly clean).
- Cool & Slice
- Let the loaf cool 5–10 minutes before slicing.
- Use a sharp serrated knife to prevent squishing.
- Serve
- Perfect for sandwiches, toast, or simply with butter.
- Reheat slices in a skillet or toaster oven for extra crispness.
