🥓🧀 High-Protein Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf

Ingredients

Meatloaf Base

  • 1½ lb lean ground beef (93/7 preferred)
  • 4 slices center-cut bacon, cooked & crumbled
    (use turkey bacon for even leaner)
  • 1 cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup liquid egg whites (protein boost)
  • ½ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup ketchup or sugar-free ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Optional Topping

  • Extra cheddar or bacon crumbles
  • Pickles or diced onions (for true cheeseburger flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line or lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix ingredients
    In a large bowl, combine all ingredients gently (don’t overmix).
  3. Shape & bake
    Press mixture into loaf pan or free-form on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes.
  5. Optional cheese topping:
    Add extra cheddar in last 5 minutes.
  6. Rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Internal temp should reach 160°F (71°C).

High-Protein Sauce (Optional)

Mix:

  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt

Variations

  • Even higher protein: Swap ½ lb beef for ground turkey (99% lean)
  • Low-fat: Use reduced-fat cheddar + turkey bacon
  • Spicy: Add diced jalapeños or pepper jack
  • Keto: Skip ketchup or use sugar-free
