👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2️⃣ Cut in Butter
- Add cold butter and use a pastry cutter, two knives, or your fingers to mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
3️⃣ Add Wet Ingredients
- Pour in milk (and vanilla if using).
- Stir gently until a soft dough forms. Don’t overmix!
4️⃣ Shape the Scones
- Lightly flour a surface and pat dough into a 1-inch thick circle.
- Cut into wedges or use a round cutter for individual scones.
5️⃣ Air Fry
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place scones in the basket (don’t overcrowd).
- Brush tops lightly with milk for a golden finish.
- Air fry for 8–12 minutes, until tops are golden brown.
6️⃣ Serve
- Let cool slightly and enjoy with butter, jam, or clotted cream.
🔥 Tips for Perfect Scones
- Keep butter cold—this makes them super fluffy.
- Don’t overwork the dough; it will toughen the scones.
- Add fruit or chocolate for extra flavor.
- Serve immediately for the softest texture; reheating in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes works if needed.
