- β cup fresh lime juice
- ΒΌ cup fresh orange juice (traditional, small amount)
- ΒΌ cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- Β½ tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- Optional heat: Β½ tsp chipotle powder or chili flakes

- Mix Marinade
- Whisk all marinade ingredients in a bowl.
- Marinate Steak
- Place steak in a zip-top bag or shallow dish.
- Pour marinade over steak; massage well.
- Marinate 2β8 hours in refrigerator

- Cook
- Remove steak 20 minutes before cooking.
- Grill or sear over high heat:
- 3β4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Rest steak 5β10 minutes before slicing.
