🌱 Vegan Fresh Strawberry Sorbet

πŸ“ Ingredients:

  • 3 cups frozen strawberries
  • 2/3 cup cold water
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (adds depth and enhances strawberry flavor)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or agave nectar (vegan substitute for honey)

⚠️ Note: Honey is not considered vegan by many due to its animal origin. Use maple syrup or agave for a fully vegan version.

πŸ₯£ Instructions:

  1. Prep your equipment
Have a food processor or high-speed blender ready. It needs to handle frozen fruit.
  2. Blend ingredients
Add frozen strawberries, cold water, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup/agave to the blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy. Scrape down sides as needed.
  3. Taste and adjust
Taste the sorbet. Add more sweetener if needed or a tiny squeeze of lemon juice if you’d like more brightness.
  4. Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture
    OR
Transfer to a container and freeze for 1–2 hours for a firmer, scoopable texture.

🍨 Tips:

  • You can use fresh strawberries too – just freeze them first.
  • For an extra twist, add a few mint leaves or a splash of vanilla extract before blending.
  • Keeps well in the freezer for up to 1 week. Let it thaw 5–10 minutes before scooping.
