Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce Copycat
Ingredients:
- 🧈 4 tbsp butter
- 🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 🥛 1 cup heavy cream
- 🧀 1 ½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 🧂 Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 🌿 Optional: pinch of nutmeg or chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Melt the butter:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it starts to bubble gently.
- Sauté the garlic:
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant (don’t let it brown).
- Add the cream:
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir constantly for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the Parmesan:
- Reduce heat to low. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until smooth and melted.
- Keep stirring until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
- Season:
- Add salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
- Optional: Add a pinch of nutmeg for depth.
- Serve:
- Toss immediately with cooked fettuccine, grilled chicken, or use as a dip for breadsticks.
