Keto Big Mac Casserole

Ingredients

For the Casserole:

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional for flavor)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup pickles, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

For the Special Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp dill pickle relish
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup (sugar-free for keto)
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the Ground Beef:
    • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain excess fat if necessary.
    • Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce (if using).
  3. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the special sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  4. Assemble the Casserole:
    • In a baking dish, spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly.
    • Sprinkle the chopped pickles over the beef.
    • Drizzle half of the special sauce over the top.
    • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the mixture.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Drizzle the remaining special sauce over the top.
    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds (if using) for a classic Big Mac touch.
  7. Enjoy:
