Air Fryer Tomatoes
Ingredients:
- 4-6 medium-sized tomatoes
- 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Herbs and spices (optional, such as garlic powder, oregano, basil, or thyme)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350-375°F (175-190°C). The exact temperature may vary depending on your specific air fryer model.
- Prepare the Tomatoes: Wash the tomatoes and cut them into slices or wedges, depending on your preference. You can also leave them whole if they are small cherry tomatoes.
- Season: Drizzle the olive oil over the tomato slices or wedges, and season them with salt, pepper, and any optional herbs or spices you like. Toss the tomatoes to ensure they are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Air Fry: Place the seasoned tomatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches if your air fryer is small. Avoid overcrowding, as this can prevent proper air circulation.
- Cook: Air fry the tomatoes for about 5-10 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness. Check them periodically and shake the basket or flip the tomatoes if necessary to ensure even cooking. The tomatoes are ready when they are slightly browned and tender.
- Serve: Remove the air-fried tomatoes from the air fryer and serve them immediately. You can enjoy them as a side dish, as a topping for salads, or even as a base for sauces or pasta dishes…
