Weight Watchers Air Fryer Chicken Tenders

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast tenders
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs (whole wheat for a healthier option)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Breading Mixture:
    • In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Coat the Chicken:
    • Lightly coat each chicken tender with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to adhere.
  4. Air Fry the Chicken Tenders:
    • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
    • Place the breaded chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
    • Lightly spray the tops of the chicken tenders with cooking spray.
  5. Cook in the Air Fryer:
    • Cook the chicken tenders at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
    • The chicken tenders are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and have a golden, crispy coating.
  6. Serve:
    • Allow the chicken tenders to cool for a few minutes before serving.
    • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as a low-fat ranch dressing or a marinara sauce.
