2 INGREDIENT DOUGH CINNAMON ROLLS – 1 SMARTPOINT (FREESTYLE)
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
For the filling:
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar substitute (to keep it low in points)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and non-fat Greek yogurt. Stir until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it a few times until it becomes smooth.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar substitute for the filling.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Starting from one of the long edges, roll the dough into a log.
- Cut the log into slices, each about 1 inch thick.
- Place the slices in the prepared baking dish, leaving a little space between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown.
- Allow the cinnamon rolls to cool slightly before serving.
