Weight Watchers French Bread Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 whole wheat French bread or baguette
- 1 cup pizza sauce (choose a low-sugar or homemade option)
- 1 1/2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Your favorite pizza toppings (vegetables, lean meats, etc.)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Slice the French bread or baguette in half lengthwise to create two long pieces.
- Place the bread halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over each bread half.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Add your favorite pizza toppings, distributing them evenly.
- Sprinkle dried oregano and garlic powder over the top.
- If you like a bit of heat, you can add crushed red pepper flakes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing.
