Weight Watchers Creamy Pasta with Asparagus and Bacon


  • 8 oz whole wheat or high-fiber pasta
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 slices lean bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)


  1. Cook Pasta:
    • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook Bacon and Asparagus:
    • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set it aside.
    • In the same skillet, add the asparagus and cook for about 3-5 minutes or until tender-crisp. Remove the asparagus and set it aside with the bacon.
  3. Saute Onion and Garlic:
    • In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Saute until the onion is softened.
  4. Prepare Creamy Sauce:
    • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the fat-free Greek yogurt, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.
  5. Combine Pasta, Asparagus, and Bacon:
    • Add the cooked pasta, asparagus, and bacon to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is coated in the creamy sauce.
  6. Season:
    • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
  7. Serve:
    • Serve the creamy pasta with asparagus and bacon in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
