  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken tenders
  • 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Breading Mixture: In a shallow dish, combine whole wheat breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Coat Chicken: Dip each chicken tender into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure to coat all sides evenly. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to adhere.
  4. Spray with Cooking Spray: Lightly spray the coated chicken tenders with cooking spray. This helps to achieve a crispy texture.
  5. Air Fry: Place the coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other. Cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook Time: Air fry the chicken tenders for about 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. Cook until the chicken is golden brown and has an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or a side of veggies.

  • Adjust Cooking Time: Cooking times may vary depending on the brand and model of your air fryer. Keep an eye on the tenders to prevent overcooking.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve these chicken tenders with a side salad, steamed vegetables, or a light dipping sauce. Consider using low-fat or fat-free dipping sauces to keep it Weight Watchers-friendly.
