Weight Watchers Air Fryer Chicken Tenders
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken tenders
- 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Breading Mixture: In a shallow dish, combine whole wheat breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Coat Chicken: Dip each chicken tender into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure to coat all sides evenly. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to adhere.
- Spray with Cooking Spray: Lightly spray the coated chicken tenders with cooking spray. This helps to achieve a crispy texture.
- Air Fry: Place the coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Cook Time: Air fry the chicken tenders for about 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. Cook until the chicken is golden brown and has an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or a side of veggies.
Note:
- Adjust Cooking Time: Cooking times may vary depending on the brand and model of your air fryer. Keep an eye on the tenders to prevent overcooking.
- Serving Suggestions: Serve these chicken tenders with a side salad, steamed vegetables, or a light dipping sauce. Consider using low-fat or fat-free dipping sauces to keep it Weight Watchers-friendly.
