Vegan Brownies Recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (acts as an egg substitute)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free milk (such as almond or soy milk)
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a square baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, vegetable oil, applesauce, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the dairy-free milk. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. If using, fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, slice into squares and enjoy your delicious vegan brownies!
