Steak Bites and Mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
    • Clean and slice the mushrooms.
    • Mince the garlic cloves.
  2. Cook the Steak Bites:
    • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
    • Add the steak bites to the skillet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
    • Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
    • Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Mushrooms:
    • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
    • Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes until they are browned and tender.
    • Add the minced garlic, dried thyme, and dried rosemary to the skillet. Stir and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Combine and Serve:
    • Return the steak bites to the skillet with the mushrooms.
    • Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and stir to coat the steak bites and mushrooms with the butter and herbs.
    • Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
    • Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving….
