Steak Bites and Mushrooms

Ingredients:
- 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- Clean and slice the mushrooms.
- Mince the garlic cloves.
- Cook the Steak Bites:
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak bites to the skillet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Mushrooms:
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes until they are browned and tender.
- Add the minced garlic, dried thyme, and dried rosemary to the skillet. Stir and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
- Combine and Serve:
- Return the steak bites to the skillet with the mushrooms.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and stir to coat the steak bites and mushrooms with the butter and herbs.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving….
