simple air fryer bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (or oil)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon honey or sugar for sweetness

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Your Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the milk and melted butter (or oil). If using honey or sugar for sweetness, add it at this stage. Stir everything together until you have a smooth, slightly sticky dough.
  4. Form the Bread: Lightly flour your hands and shape the dough into a round loaf or a baguette shape, depending on your preference. Place the shaped dough onto a piece of parchment paper.
  5. Air Fry: Carefully transfer the parchment paper with the shaped dough onto the air fryer basket or tray. If your air fryer has a basket, you may need to trim the parchment paper to fit.
  6. Cook: Air fry the bread at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown on the outside and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  7. Check Doneness: To ensure the bread is fully cooked, you can insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the bread is done.
  8. Cool and Serve: Once cooked, remove the bread from the air fryer and let it cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before slicing. Serve the air fryer bread warm with butter, jam, or your favorite toppings…
