Keto Garlic Parmesan Knots

Ingredients

Dough (Fathead Dough):

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz (4 Tbsp) cream cheese
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

🍯 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Melt Cheese

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mozzarella and cream cheese.
  • Microwave 1 minute, stir, then microwave 30 more seconds until melted.
  • Stir until smooth.

3️⃣ Make Dough

  • In another bowl, whisk together almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.
  • Add melted cheese mixture and the egg.
  • Mix well with a spatula or your hands (lightly oil your hands if sticky) until a dough forms.

4️⃣ Shape Knots

  • Divide dough into 8 equal pieces.
  • Roll each into a 6–8 inch rope.
  • Tie each rope into a knot and place on the baking sheet.

5️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 15–18 minutes until golden brown.

6️⃣ Prepare Garlic Butter

  • While knots bake, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.

7️⃣ Brush & Sprinkle

  • Remove knots from oven.
  • Brush generously with garlic butter.
  • Sprinkle with grated Parmesan.

8️⃣ Serve

Enjoy warm!

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge up to 4 days.
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer to restore crispness.

💡 Tips:
✅ For extra cheesy flavor, sprinkle more mozzarella before baking.
✅ To make them dairy-free, swap mozzarella for dairy-free shreds and use vegan cream cheese, though texture will be a bit different.
