Keto Caramel

Keto Caramel is a wonderful low-carb, sugar-free alternative to traditional caramel sauce. It’s rich, sweet, and perfect for drizzling over desserts, adding to coffee, or using as a dip for fruits. This versatile keto caramel sauce is easy to make and can satisfy your sweet cravings while keeping you within your low carb goals.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated erythritol or your preferred keto-friendly sweetener
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Instructions:
  • 1. Prepare the Ingredients:
  • Ensure that all the necessary ingredients are collected and prepared, with accurate measurements, in order to facilitate their immediate usage.
  • 2. Melt the Butter:
  • The unsalted butter should be melted in a saucepan placed over medium heat. Don’t stir it too much, and let it cook until it turns a light golden brown color. This should take about 4-5 minutes.
  • 3. Add Sweetener:
  • Slowly add the powdered erythritol while the heat is turned down to low. Keep whisking until the sweetener is fully mixed in with the butter that has melted.
  • 4. Heat the Cream:
  • Slowly add the heavy cream while mixing all the time. Allow the mixture to slowly boil. Whisk for another two to three minutes.
  • 5. Add Vanilla and Salt:
  • Take the pan off the heat and add the salt and vanilla extract. The vanilla will make it taste great, and the salt will make the caramel taste better.
  • 6. Cool and Serve:
  • Take a break and let the caramel sauce cool down. It will get thicker as it cools down. When it’s the right consistency, you can use it as a dipping sauce or drizzle it over your favorite keto treats.
  • 7. Store for Later:
  • If you have leftovers, store your keto caramel sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can gently reheat it when you’re ready to use it again.
