Jacket Potato in the Air Fryer
Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Toppings of your choice (e.g., butter, sour cream, grated cheese, chopped chives)
Instructions:
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare Potatoes: Scrub the potatoes clean under running water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Pierce each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape while cooking.
- Coat with Oil and Salt: Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. This helps to crisp up the skin and adds flavor.
- Air Fry: Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re not overcrowded. Cook them at 400°F (200°C) for 35-45 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes. Turn them halfway through the cooking time for even cooking.
- Check for Doneness: After the cooking time is up, check the potatoes by inserting a fork or knife into the center. They should be tender all the way through.
- Serve: Once the potatoes are cooked through, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Then, slice each potato open and fluff up the insides with a fork. Add your favorite toppings such as butter, sour cream, grated cheese, chopped chives, or any other toppings you like.
- Enjoy: Serve the jacket potatoes hot and enjoy!
