HOMEMADE CHEESY GARLIC BREADSTICKS
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: Marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, salt, dried oregano, and dried basil.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the surface of the rolled-out dough.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Carefully roll the dough into a log, starting from one of the longer edges. Seal the edges by pinching them together.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled dough into breadsticks, about 1 inch wide.
- Place the breadsticks onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the breadsticks.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
