Home Made Air Fryer Potato & Sausage

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 medium-sized potatoes
  • 2-3 sausages of your choice (Italian sausage, bratwurst, or any preferred type)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into small, bite-sized pieces. This will help them cook faster and crisp up nicely in the air fryer.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the potato pieces with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Toss them to ensure the potatoes are evenly coated with the oil.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mix over the potatoes and toss them again to coat evenly.
  5. Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. It’s important not to overcrowd the basket to allow for even cooking and crisping.
  6. Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook the potatoes for about 15 minutes. Shake the basket or toss the potatoes halfway through the cooking time to ensure they cook evenly.
  7. While the potatoes are cooking, slice the sausages into bite-sized pieces.
  8. After the potatoes have cooked for about 15 minutes, add the sausage pieces to the air fryer basket with the potatoes. Continue cooking for an additional 10-12 minutes or until the sausages are cooked through and the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
  9. Once the potato and sausage mixture is done, remove them from the air fryer, and serve hot.
  10. You can garnish the dish with fresh herbs or a drizzle of your favorite sauce for extra flavor..
