French baguette with ham tomato red onion and topped with cheese

Ingredients:

1 French baguette, sliced

Thinly sliced ham

Sliced tomato

Thinly sliced red onion

Shredded cheese (such as Swiss, Gruyère, or cheddar)

Olive oil or melted butter

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: Dijon mustard or mayonnaise for spreading

Instructions:

Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F) for a few minutes.

Arrange the sliced French baguette on a baking sheet or directly in the air fryer basket.

If desired, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard or mayonnaise on each slice of baguette for added flavor.

Layer each slice of baguette with thinly sliced ham, followed by slices of tomato and red onion.

Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of each baguette slice, covering the toppings.

Drizzle a little olive oil or melted butter over the assembled baguette slices for extra flavor and to help the cheese melt.

Season the assembled baguette slices with salt and pepper to taste.

Place the baguette slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overlapping.

Air fry the baguette slices at 180°C (356°F) for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the baguette is lightly toasted.

Once done, remove the baguette slices from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.

Serve the French baguette slices with ham, tomato, red onion, and melted cheese hot as a delicious appetizer, snack, or light meal
