Foil Salmon and Asparagus in Garlic Sauce – Easy Salmon Recipe
Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium)
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the Foil Packets:
Cut four pieces of aluminum foil, each large enough to wrap around a salmon fillet and asparagus.
Place a salmon fillet in the center of each piece of foil and surround it with a handful of trimmed asparagus.
Make the Garlic Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together minced garlic, soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), olive oil, Dijon mustard, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
Pour the Sauce:
Spoon the garlic sauce evenly over each salmon fillet and asparagus bundle. Reserve a little sauce for basting.
Wrap the Foil Packets:
Seal each foil packet by folding the edges over the salmon and asparagus, creating a tight seal.
Bake in the Oven:
Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Baste and Broil (Optional):
Open the foil packets, baste the salmon with the reserved sauce, and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until the top is slightly caramelized.
Serve:
Carefully open the foil packets, transfer the salmon and asparagus to plates.
Drizzle any remaining sauce from the foil packets over the top.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
