Foil Salmon and Asparagus in Garlic Sauce – Easy Salmon Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium)
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Foil Packets:
- Cut four pieces of aluminum foil, each large enough to wrap around a salmon fillet and asparagus.
- Place a salmon fillet in the center of each piece of foil and surround it with a handful of trimmed asparagus.
- Make the Garlic Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together minced garlic, soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), olive oil, Dijon mustard, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the Sauce:
- Spoon the garlic sauce evenly over each salmon fillet and asparagus bundle. Reserve a little sauce for basting.
- Wrap the Foil Packets:
- Seal each foil packet by folding the edges over the salmon and asparagus, creating a tight seal.
- Bake in the Oven:
- Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Baste and Broil (Optional):
- Open the foil packets, baste the salmon with the reserved sauce, and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until the top is slightly caramelized.
- Serve:
- Carefully open the foil packets, transfer the salmon and asparagus to plates.
- Drizzle any remaining sauce from the foil packets over the top.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
