Cottage cheese pizza bowl High-protein, and low-carb
Within minutes you can turn your pizza craving into a nutritious and tasty cottage cheese pizza bowl! This recipe is customizable, high-protein, and low-carb.
INGREDIENTS
- 1⁄2 CUP cottage cheese, low-fat, fat-free, or full-fat
- 2 tablespoons marinara sauce or pizza sauce
- 1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄8 teaspoon oregano
- 1⁄8 teaspoon dried basil
- 3 tablespoons light mozzarella cheese or your favorite pizza cheese
DIRECTIONS
- Add the cottage cheese, marinara sauce, garlic powder, oregano, and dried basil to a bowl. Thoroughly mix these ingredients.
- Add the ingredients in the bowl to an oven-safe ramekin or baking dish. We used a small 6 oz ramekin.
- Sprinkle the pizza cheese over top of the ingredients in the ramekin. Then, sprinkle some oregano over top.
- Place the ramekin on a baking sheet. Bake the cottage cheese pizza bowl at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Optional: Broil for an additional one to two minutes to make the cheese bubbly and golden brown.
- Carefully remove the ramekin from the oven, let it slightly cool, and enjoy this pizza bowl warm. Optional: Sprinkle over top with crushed red pepper flakes, oregano, and basil.
