Cheesy Texas Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of keto bread (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the bread: Slice your keto bread into thick pieces, about 1-inch thick. If you’re using store-bought, make sure it’s a good quality, soft keto bread.
  3. Make the garlic butter spread: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, mayonnaise, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning (if using). Blend it until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread the mixture: Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over one side of each bread slice.
  5. Top with cheese: Sprinkle a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the buttered side of the bread.
  6. Bake: Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Once baked, garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
