Cheeseburger Crunch Wrap
Ingredients:
For the Burger Filling:
- 1 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Pickles, chopped (optional)
For the Crunch Wrap:
- Large flour tortillas
- Tostada shells or tortilla chips
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Ketchup and mustard (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
- Cook the Burger Filling:
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Season the beef with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add the finely chopped onion and continue to cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Assemble the Crunch Wrap:
- Place a large flour tortilla on a flat surface.
- Layer the Ingredients:
- In the center of the tortilla, add a scoop of the cooked burger filling.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
- If desired, add chopped pickles for that classic cheeseburger flavor.
- Add the Crunch:
- Place a tostada shell or a handful of tortilla chips over the cheeseburger filling. This adds the “crunch” to the wrap.
- Top with Fresh Ingredients:
- Add shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes on top of the crunchy layer.
- Fold the Wrap:
- To fold the crunch wrap, start with one edge of the tortilla and fold it toward the center. Continue folding around the edges until you have a sealed wrap.
- Cook the Wrap:
- Place the assembled crunch wrap, seam side down, on a hot griddle or skillet.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve:
- Remove the crunch wrap from the heat and let it rest for a moment before slicing it in half.
- Optionally, serve with ketchup and mustard on the side for dipping.
Enjoy your homemade Cheeseburger Crunch Wrap, combining the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with a satisfying crunch!
