Brown Sugar and Beer Ham with Bourbon glaze

Brown Sugar Ham with Bourbon Glaze…sticky, sweet, and delicious! This easy ham recipe is perfect for holiday occasions!

Ingredients

  • Ham with bone
  • 4 cups of dark brown sugar, divided
  • 4 bottles of beer
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • Instructions
  • Put ham in deep roasting pan.
  • Pat a thick layer of brown sugar on all sides, about 2 cups.
  • Pour beer around ham.
  • Cover with tin foil and bake at 325 for approximately 15 min per lb.
  • One hour before end of baking, pour off all but 1 1/2″ of beer.
  • In small saucepan, combine honey, mustard, the remaining 2 cups of brown sugar and bourbon.
  • Whisk together and heat on low until brown sugar melts.
  • Baste ham every 10 min with beer mixture from the bottom of the pan and then the bourbon glaze.
  • Use all of the glaze before removing the ham.
  • Slice and serve with sauce remaining in pan.
