Bacon & cheese puff pastry swirls 🤤

Ingredients:-
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions:-
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the bacon until crispy, then chop it into small pieces.
- Shred the cheddar cheese, grate the Parmesan cheese, and chop the green onions if using.
- Prepare the Puff Pastry:
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
- Assemble the Swirls:
- Brush the surface of the puff pastry with the beaten egg.
- Sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over the pastry sheet.
- Spread the shredded cheddar cheese over the bacon.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the cheese.
- Roll and Cut:
- Starting from one of the shorter ends, tightly roll up the puff pastry sheet like a jelly roll.
- Once rolled up, gently press the edge to seal.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 1/2-inch slices. You should get about 10-12 slices.
- Bake:
- Place the slices, cut-side up, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Brush the tops of each swirl with the remaining beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
- Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
