Air frying Old Bay shrimp

Ingredients:
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon paprika (smoked paprika can add a nice touch) Salt and pepper to taste Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes to ensure it’s nice and hot.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with the olive oil, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the shrimp to ensure they’re evenly coated with the seasonings and oil.
- Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. It’s essential not to overcrowd the basket to allow for proper air circulation and even cooking. You may need to cook the shrimp in batches if you have a smaller air fryer.
- Cook the shrimp in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes, depending on the size of the shrimp. Check the shrimp’s doneness after about 4 minutes and flip them to ensure even cooking. The shrimp should turn pink and opaque when fully cooked.
- Once the shrimp are done, remove them from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving platter.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the cooked shrimp if desired, for an extra burst of flavor.
- Serve the Old Bay seasoned shrimp hot as an appetizer, side dish, or over a bed of rice for a main course….
