Air Fryer Wings w/ Homemade Buffalo sauce recipe

Ingredients:

For the Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split at the joint, tips removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Buffalo Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

Preparing the Wings:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

Cooking the Wings:

  1. Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they’re not overcrowded. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  2. Cook the wings for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until they’re golden brown and crispy.

Making the Buffalo Sauce:

  1. While the wings are cooking, in a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add the hot sauce, honey (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  3. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Tossing the Wings:

  1. Once the wings are done cooking, transfer them to a large bowl.
  2. Pour the Buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until they’re evenly coated.

Serving:

  1. Serve the wings hot with your favorite dipping sauce, celery sticks, and carrot sticks.
  2. Enjoy your delicious Air Fryer Wings with Homemade Buffalo Sauce!…
