Air Fryer Potato Wedges

Ingredients:

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: cayenne pepper or chili powder for some heat
  • Cooking spray (for the air fryer basket)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and scrub the potatoes. You can peel them if you prefer, but leaving the skin on provides added texture and flavor.
  2. Cut the potatoes into wedges. Slice each potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 3-4 wedges, depending on the size of the potato. Try to make the wedges roughly the same size for even cooking.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and any optional spices you’d like to add.
  4. Toss the potato wedges in the seasoned oil mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
  6. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  7. Place the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook in batches.
  8. Cook the potato wedges in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, shaking or flipping them halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning. Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of your wedges and the specific air fryer model.
  9. Check the wedges for doneness. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
  10. Serve your air fryer potato wedges hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, mayonnaise, or a garlic aioli…
