Air Fryer Pita Pizza

Ingredients:

  • Whole wheat or regular pita bread
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of your choice (such as pepperoni, sliced bell peppers, onions, olives, mushrooms, etc.)
  • Olive oil spray (optional)
  • Italian seasoning or dried basil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Your Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Prepare Your Pita Bread: Place a whole pita bread on a clean surface. Spoon some pizza sauce onto the pita and spread it evenly, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
  3. Add Cheese and Toppings: Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Then add your favorite toppings evenly over the cheese.
  4. Optional Seasoning: If desired, sprinkle some Italian seasoning or dried basil over the top for extra flavor.
  5. Air Fry: Carefully transfer the assembled pita pizza to the preheated air fryer basket. You can lightly spray the top with olive oil spray for a crispier crust, though this step is optional.
  6. Cook: Air fry the pita pizza at 375°F (190°C) for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the pita are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  7. Serve: Once done, carefully remove the pita pizza from the air fryer and let it cool for a minute or two before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
