Air Fryer Parmesan Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients:
- 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Start by washing and trimming the Brussels sprouts. Cut them in half, removing any tough outer leaves.
- Season the Brussels Sprouts: In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings (like garlic powder and onion powder). Make sure the Brussels sprouts are well coated.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
- Air Fry the Brussels Sprouts: Place the seasoned Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook them in batches if needed, ensuring they’re not overcrowded. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, shaking or stirring the sprouts halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
- Check for Doneness: The Brussels sprouts should be tender and golden brown when they’re done. If they need more time, you can continue air frying in 2-3 minute increments.
- Add Parmesan Cheese: About 2-3 minutes before the Brussels sprouts are finished cooking, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the sprouts. This will allow the cheese to melt and become slightly crispy.
- Serve: Once the Brussels sprouts are done and the Parmesan is nicely melted and golden, remove them from the air fryer. Serve immediately.
- Optional Garnish: You can garnish your Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts with a little extra Parmesan cheese and some freshly chopped parsley for added flavor and presentation….
