Air Fryer Lobster Tails

Ingredients:

  • 2 lobster tails
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preparation of Lobster Tails:
    • Thaw the lobster tails if they are frozen. To do this safely, place them in the refrigerator overnight or submerge them in cold water for about 30 minutes until fully thawed.
    • Use kitchen shears or a sharp knife to cut the lobster tails lengthwise down the middle. Be careful not to cut all the way through the tail.
  2. Seasoning:
    • In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic (if using), lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coating the Lobster Tails:
    • Brush the lobster tails generously with the butter mixture, making sure to coat both the meat and the shells.
  4. Air Frying:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C).
    • Place the lobster tails in the air fryer basket, with the cut side facing up.
  5. Cooking:
    • Air fry the lobster tails for about 8-10 minutes, depending on the size of your lobster tails and the doneness you prefer. They should be opaque and firm to the touch when done.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove the lobster tails from the air fryer and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
    • Serve immediately with additional lemon wedges and melted butter for dipping.

Tips:

  • Choosing Lobster Tails: Look for lobster tails that are bright and firm, with no strong odor.
  • Adjusting Cooking Time: Cooking time may vary depending on the size and thickness of the lobster tails. Always check for doneness and adjust as needed.
  • Serving Suggestions: Air fryer lobster tails pair well with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
