Air Fryer French Toast


  • 4 slices of bread (preferably slightly stale)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter or cooking spray, for greasing
  • Maple syrup, powdered sugar, or toppings of your choice

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.
  2. Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a shallow dish or bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Dip the Bread: Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. Let any excess mixture drip off back into the bowl.
  4. Grease the Air Fryer Basket: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with butter or cooking spray to prevent the French toast from sticking.
  5. Air Fry: Place the dipped bread slices in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  6. Cook: Air fry the French toast at 350°F (175°C) for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  7. Serve: Once cooked, remove the French toast from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
