Air Fryer French Fries

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 large russet potatoes
  • 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (you can use olive oil, canola oil, or any oil of your choice)
  • Salt and your favorite seasonings (such as paprika, garlic powder, or onion powder) to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375-400°F (190-200°C). The exact temperature may vary depending on your air fryer model.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and peel the potatoes if desired, then cut them into evenly-sized fries. Try to make the fries about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick for even cooking.
  3. Rinse and Dry: Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch. Pat them dry with a paper towel or kitchen towel to remove any moisture.
  4. Toss in Oil: Place the dried potato strips in a large bowl. Drizzle the oil over the potatoes and toss them until they’re evenly coated. This will help the fries get crispy in the air fryer.
  5. Season: Season the fries with salt and your desired seasonings. You can get creative with the seasonings to suit your taste.
  6. Cook in Batches: Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the fries in batches to ensure they cook evenly. Arrange the seasoned fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Overcrowding can result in less crispy fries.
  7. Air Fry: Set the air fryer to the recommended temperature (375-400°F) and cook for about 15-20 minutes. Check on them after 10 minutes, and shake the basket or flip the fries for even cooking. The total cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your fries and your air fryer model.
  8. Serve: Once the fries are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces or condiments…
