Ingredients
- Air Fryer Pie Crust
- Air Fryer Frozen Bacon
- 9 Large Eggs
- 4 Tbsp Skimmed Milk
- 2 Tsp Parsley
- Salt & Pepper
- Flour for dusting
- 1 Small Egg beaten
Instructions
- Place your just cooked bacon on kitchen towels and allow the extra fat to soak into the towels. After 20 minutes remove the bacon and slice into chunks.
- Flour a clean worktop and a rolling pin and then roll out your shortcrust pastry. Line a quiche dish with shortcrust pastry and then add your bacon bits, spreading them out so that you will get an equal bacon spread.
- In a jug add the eggs and seasonings and then beat and then add in the milk and carry on stirring.
- Pour the egg and milk mixture over the bacon until you have an almost full quiche dish.
- Then roll out the rest of the pastry and line the top of your egg and bacon pie. Then brush on some egg wash and cut a few holes in the centre to allow the pie to breathe as it cooks. Load into the air fryer.
- Air fry your egg and bacon pie for 20 minutes at 170c/340f and then keep it in the air fryer to set for a further 20 minutes. Then you can remove the pie from the air fryer, slice and serve.
Notes
Resting. The egg and bacon pie rests in the air fryer so it can carry on cooking and the centre setting just using the heat from the air fryer.
Reheat. You can reheat your sliced of cooked egg bacon pie in the air fryer at 160c/320f for 4 minutes.
