Air Fryer Candied Bacon Recip
Ingredients:
8 slices of thick-cut bacon
12 cup brown sugar
14 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
14 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for a kick)
1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional for extra flavor)
Instructions:
Prep Your Air Fryer Start by preheating your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). This will help your bacon cook evenly and get that perfect crispiness!
Mix the Goodies In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix it well until it’s all blended together. If you want to add a touch of maple syrup, drizzle it in and mix again!
Coat the Bacon Take each slice of bacon and coat it generously with the sugar mixture. Make sure to cover both sides for maximum flavor!
Arrange in the Air Fryer Place the coated bacon slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Don’t overcrowd them; you want them to cook evenly.
Cook Air fry the bacon for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning, as cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer.
Cool Down Once done, carefully remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to absorb any excess grease. Let it cool for a few minutes – it will get even crispier!
Tips & Variations:
Sweet & Spicy Add more cayenne for a spicier kick!
Nutty Twist Sprinkle some chopped nuts on top of the bacon before air frying for added crunch.
