Air Fryer Brownies

ngredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work well)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave in 30-second intervals until fully melted.
  3. Add the granulated sugar to the melted butter and stir until well combined.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  8. If desired, fold in the chopped nuts and chocolate chips or chunks.
  9. Grease a baking pan that fits inside your air fryer basket with cooking spray or a little extra butter.
  10. Pour the brownie batter into the greased baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  11. Place the baking pan into the preheated air fryer basket.
  12. Air fry the brownies at 320°F (160°C) for about 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  13. Once done, carefully remove the baking pan from the air fryer and let the brownies cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
