- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work well)
- Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave in 30-second intervals until fully melted.
- Add the granulated sugar to the melted butter and stir until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- If desired, fold in the chopped nuts and chocolate chips or chunks.
- Grease a baking pan that fits inside your air fryer basket with cooking spray or a little extra butter.
- Pour the brownie batter into the greased baking pan and spread it out evenly.
- Place the baking pan into the preheated air fryer basket.
- Air fry the brownies at 320°F (160°C) for about 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Once done, carefully remove the baking pan from the air fryer and let the brownies cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
