12 large sea scallops
12 slices of bacon
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Wooden toothpicks, for securing the bacon
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
While the air fryer is preheating, wrap each scallop with a slice of bacon and secure it with a wooden toothpick. Make sure the bacon completely wraps around the scallop.
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
Brush the bacon-wrapped scallops with the olive oil mixture, ensuring they are coated evenly.
Place the scallops in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches if your air fryer is small.
Cook the scallops in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. The bacon should become crispy, and the scallops should be opaque and cooked through.
Once cooked, carefully remove the bacon-wrapped scallops from the air fryer using tongs.
Let them cool for a minute or two before removing the toothpicks.
Serve the bacon-wrapped scallops as an appetizer or with your favorite dipping sauce.
