Air Fryer Recipes

Air Fryer Bacon

Ingredients:

  • Bacon strips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350-400°F (175-200°C). The exact temperature may vary depending on your air fryer model, but somewhere in this range will work well.
  2. Prepare the Bacon: Lay the bacon strips flat on the air fryer basket or rack. You can place them directly on the basket, use an air fryer-safe parchment paper, or an air fryer rack to keep the bacon from sticking to the basket. Ensure there is some space between the strips so that the air can circulate for even cooking.
  3. Cooking Time: The cooking time for bacon in an air fryer depends on the thickness of the bacon and your desired level of crispiness. Typically, it takes about 8-12 minutes, but it’s a good idea to check on it after 5-6 minutes and adjust the time accordingly.
  4. Flip or Shake: You may want to flip the bacon strips or shake the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking on both sides.
  5. Check for Doneness: Keep an eye on the bacon as it cooks. When it reaches your desired level of crispiness, remove it from the air fryer. Thicker bacon may take a bit longer than thinner strips.
  6. Drain and Serve: Once the bacon is done, remove it from the air fryer and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess grease. Blot the top of the bacon with another paper towel if needed.
  7. Serve: Serve the crispy bacon while it’s still hot. It makes a great addition to breakfast dishes, sandwiches, or as a delicious snack.
  8. Clean Up: Clean the air fryer basket or rack after use to remove any bacon grease and residue to prevent smoke or odors during future use.
